In Manhattan, the Alliance’s employers—AIM—discuss the group’s progress and plans to use the absorbed energy to animate mass produced androids.  In Vail, Colorado, the man who hired Genetech plays chess with the man who hired AIM, and they debate their strategies.  At Niagara Falls, the Alliance terrorizes tourists while Harness forces Piecemeal to absorb more energy.  X-Force arrives and defeats the Alliance, but Harness teleports away with Piecemeal. X-Force interrogates Alliance member Tower, and he tells them Genetech hired the group to collect the energy. Cable leads the team on a raid of the company’s Sayville facility, and they fight their way past security guards to the main laboratory only to find the New Warriors waiting for them.
