Synopsis for "Kings of Pain part 1: Pawns of Senescence"
The Alliance of Evil storms St. Simon’s Academy and battles responding police. Students Artie Maddicks and Leech recognize the Alliance from their time with X-Factor and join the fight with their classmate Wiz Kid, but they are swiftly defeated. With the Alliance is an armored villain named Harness who forces a young boy dubbed Piecemeal to absorb energy at the site. Once he finishes, the Alliance knocks out Wiz Kid and leaves. He wakes up in the hospital to X-Force standing over him. Boom-Boom introduces the team, and he relates what happened. Later, aboard X-Force’s helicopter, Cable briefs the team on the Alliance and on attacks the group has conducted along the eastern U.S. coast. In Sayville, New York, Genetech executives brief their board of directors on the Alliance’s attack and reveal that the energy Piecemeal absorbed matches genetic material the company has been hired to develop. In Manhattan, the Alliance’s employers—AIM—discuss the group’s progress and plans to use the absorbed energy to animate mass produced androids. In Vail, Colorado, the man who hired Genetech plays chess with the man who hired AIM, and they debate their strategies. At Niagara Falls, the Alliance terrorizes tourists while Harness forces Piecemeal to absorb more energy. X-Force arrives and defeats the Alliance, but Harness teleports away with Piecemeal. X-Force interrogates Alliance member Tower, and he tells them Genetech hired the group to collect the energy. Cable leads the team on a raid of the company’s Sayville facility, and they fight their way past security guards to the main laboratory only to find the New Warriors waiting for them.
