Synopsis for the 1st Story

Pezzini confronts Silvio Gallo after his acquittal for dealing drugs, warning he will not get away from her. McCarthy approaches her wanting to talk, but she tells him she is busy and leaves. Later, she has a vision of Ian Nottingham on the street and then is seemingly sucked through a car window into the ocean. The Witchblade says she will see through the eyes of one of its prior hosts. At sea on the Atlantic in 1736, a burning pirate ship is boarded by the crew of another. Among the boarded ship’s crew is a swordswoman, and she fights her way through the invaders to save her captive lover, Jack. Her sword is the Witchblade, and the boarders demand it even though she and Jack explain it will not let her give it up. She severs one boarder’s hand and shoots another, but Jack is knocked overboard. The swordswoman dives in after him and uses the Witchblade to save him from sharks. Once they swim to the surface, she reveals the Witchblade talks to her. In the present, Pezzini realizes it talks to her as well and finds herself at the South Street Seaport. She takes a cab to a hotel, calls her apartment and leaves a message for her sister not to stay there, and then takes a shower. In an alley, the microwave killer has claimed three more victims and intends to continue until they have Pezzini.
